so, now I have "negotiated" again. a deviation > 10% is at the expense of the earthworks contractor. if the soil consists of sand, a discount is granted (according to the soil report and the environment, this is the case). at least a little bit ...

Hello,

Good!

And now you go quickly and prepare a protocol of this "negotiation" from memory and send it to the attention of the civil engineer with the request for countersignature

Kind regards

Exactly what is not written down is considered not valid.... statement against statement... large memory gaps, as is the case with [Verfassungsschutz], are then to be expected

so, now I am slightly annoyed again. we had agreed on the following: the earthworks begin (and are supposed to be finished) on Monday 16.7. since I don’t work on Mondays, that suited me perfectly, because I wanted – also at the earthmover’s request – to be present.

now I happened to come to our property yesterday at noon to get a signature from the neighbors ... and what do I see ... the earthworks are in full swing, everything leveled and already the construction pit at the [kommuwand] excavated up to the neighbor’s floor slab .... and the day was still long.

no one reachable, no one informed me ... is this the usual way and does this contribute to building trust?
somehow I’m getting petty now, since they charged us for x sqm of covering plates ... in fact less than half were laid, I documented everything.
am I too picky??

thank you. hilaria

no... these construction heavy machinery operators, like everyone else, must adhere to previous contractual agreements and may only invoice for what is actually done. At least, that's my opinion.
