Hello, @perlemann, yes, that's exactly how it is. Excavation incl., transport is our problem. Why didn’t we take another civil engineer? Quite simple: 1. Except for one exception, no other civil engineer was willing to take over only the transport 2. We only found out on Monday that originally the excavation was supposed to take place exactly one week later, but it actually happened on Thursday. The only one who was willing to do just the transport didn’t have time on the originally planned Monday and I had no time to find another. Since the agreed date was not adhered to anyway, it would have gone wrong anyway. And yes, for the backfilling I will definitely look for someone else, because here too this civil engineer is > 100% more expensive than the competition. I also informed the BU about this and that I consider this approach untrustworthy and unprofessional. @Bauexperte, if I had seen the slightest chance to store something on our property, I would have done it, unfortunately this is not the case. We have the last building gap in a really small building area of a major city in Bavaria, any questions? Even for setting up the crane we had to rent public ground.

Best regards Hilaria

P.S. This has been on my mind for a long time now because it involves a considerable five-figure amount. I believe certain practices should be questioned.

Maybe just ask a farmer. Here in BW, farmers take construction excavation for their fields to improve the soil. That lowers construction costs and maybe you can also get some material for backfilling or storing. Heiner
