I am numb to the pain. Light comes in plenty anyway and the light behind the sofa is at least not wasted for us either, because my wife always puts plant shelves there. Or the cats sunbathe or you turn the sofa around once, open all the windows and have a kind of extended terrace. Of course, that doesn’t work with a corner sofa...

My favorite would be a floor-to-ceiling window and the sofa far enough away, 80-100 cm, then you have the advantage of the floor-to-ceiling window and can still use it... unfortunately, most house sizes don't allow that; with the usual ~4 m living room width, you can't manage that.

The TE has 4.83, if I remember correctly. With a sofa depth of 90 cm, you would still be just under 3 meters away from the TV, which according to home cinema rules of thumb is the optimal distance for a 50-55 inch TV at Full HD, or you shouldn't be any further away. For 4K, it would even be enough for a 60 inch TV. But yes, for cozy, spacious living areas with a wz table, it will get tight.

edit: note to self: don't write posts with the phone anymore!

Option 2 would never come into my house. You build such beautiful windows to the garden and then just stare at a wall from the sofa! With option 1, the TV will probably be very small, so presumably option 3 as a compromise. It just depends on how important watching TV is to you.

I have written it somewhere before: Friends have their TV on a rolling cart. When needed, it is simply rolled to where it should be watched, otherwise put away behind the sofa. The cables remain connected, the thing is ready to start immediately. The living room has become especially nice precisely because the TV does not determine the image and the atmosphere.

No matter which option you choose, I would not take an L-shaped sofa. Too bulky and not sociable. With small pieces of furniture, you can still give a small room a feeling of spaciousness. I have a multipurpose room of "only" 36m², also square. Because of the furnishing, it is really not cramped at all and practically arranged. I advise you to already start looking now at which furniture, especially sofa and seating furniture, you would like.

Even for non-home theater enthusiasts, physics makes no exception, so for me only option 3 would be acceptable, preferably without the window. We also have many windows in the living/dining area, but one wall was deliberately left windowless so that the TV can hang there undisturbed. It is still bright enough.
