Unfortunately not implemented yet: Hidden door (tall cabinets) in the kitchen to the utility room / pantry, possibly a matter for the kitchen builder?? - Appointment for kitchen planning is on Friday.
In principle, it’s already too late for major changes in the house.
This passage door takes up valuable space in the kitchen.
Since the fireplace was only considered later, I would be interested if you have a better suggestion for the placement?
The fireplace/chimney is already in the best spot there.
but rather push the niche further back now. I thought of an Ikea cabinet and a bench (Stuva). These are quite narrow but unfortunately this makes the guest room even smaller.
You also have to plan that clothes hangers have a certain depth; you can’t just take the narrowest shelf.
Or do you see any other possibility for the wardrobe?
I would place it opposite the stairs, built-in wardrobe and done.
Then I somehow found the space in the hallway wasted and thought that we could push the wall with the planned tall cabinets in the kitchen a little further into the hallway….
...
The hallway is not exactly generous at 1.40 m...
Get away from the square layout, which is an unfortunate choice at this size, as you could see from the extent of your requested changes*. Achieving a successful room arrangement under a square roof requires an edge length of about 11 to 12 m – below that the imperfection pinches too much.
As he meant it, he is right. On 9 or 10 meters squared, it is very difficult to create a well thought-out floor plan without compromises.
: it’s not a square at all
*Just kidding*
: soon the house with yard... it’s in progress
