Regarding the upper floor: In my opinion, the planning of the parents' bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom is not successful, see attached photo... In the indicated walking route, it is only simulated that something was forgotten once in the dressing room...

Would be to shift the access to the parents' area through the dressing room and the closets towards the exterior wall, swap bathroom and parents' bedroom. That would also give you the possibility to maybe partition a smaller bathroom for the children. In the parents' area, the passage on the hallway wall would then be right into the bedroom, left into the bathroom, straight ahead closet rows. As always, just some food for thought ;)

We also like this open design. The topic of the couch in front of the floor-to-ceiling window is (unfortunately) also an issue for us; we haven't managed to solve it elegantly. At least the couch is in front of the fixed part of the lift-and-slide element. In general, I really like the idea of your open-plan living area. Your corner window solutions will definitely be great once they're finished. But also keep in mind the cost aspect; corner windows are quite expensive. I think the middle area between the living room and kitchen and in front of the dining area is somewhat problematic, as it only really expresses spaciousness because it’s traffic space. That already accounts for about 15 square meters. Your entrance area is also generous. I believe there’s still some optimization possible there. I think the idea of moving the office upstairs is already a very good optimization. In our planning, we paid attention to keeping the pure traffic areas low and integrating them well into the room.

Hi, well, the number of windows and whether they are floor-to-ceiling or not can certainly be debated extensively. My client wanted a similarly generously glazed living room and yes, in summer you have to use shading, with blinds that's no problem. But on dull days you also have enough light in the room so you don't need artificial light during the day. At first, I also thought it was too much – meanwhile I find it nice. What I really can't understand, though, is why you place the couch with its back to the window and again only look into the dark corner of the room. I would rather give up "some" window and instead have a view towards the garden.

If the (in my opinion almost exaggerated) symmetry in the design could be relaxed a bit, I would move the bay window to the right, make it a bit wider but less deep, and place the dining table across …

Maybe you didn’t see the door from the dressing room to the bathroom? But you did circle it.

Yes, I’m noticing that now too. Oh, the wardrobe is next to the stairs now / to the right the long bench.
