Cistern in the garden / driveway

With my sister, we use an affordable Tipp deep well pump with an additional floating intake. It only has 6,000 liters per hour. It’s just about okay for the larger circles. She already had it. Otherwise, we would have taken a bigger size. We install a Wilo TWI4.14-13-CI 3 in our cistern and for the garden water. Our cistern is larger, though. Generally, I would make sure that you have a flow rate between 6-8 m3/h. And that at the required delivery height. The Tipps are not bad and especially inexpensive. Additionally, the floating intake.

Are they all pressure-controlled?

Depends. With us, a pump control is also added so that it is not only pressure-controlled.

Runs without problems. The pump control is integrated. However, we have installed a relay in it that activates the pump shortly before irrigation. Pressure-controlled means that the pump builds up pressure in the system. At a certain pressure, it switches off. As soon as you open a tap or a valve, the pressure drops. The sensor notices this and turns the pump on... In a sealed system, no problem. However, if you have leaks or slow pressure loss, the pump activates from time to time to maintain the pressure.
