Hello everyone,

we are currently building our single-family house with a general contractor. In the offer, we have electronic roller shutters and venetian blinds. The offer also includes a switch planned for each roller shutter or each venetian blind. However, we are not quite satisfied because we would have no way to lower all the roller shutters and venetian blinds at once. Currently, I see the following solutions:

1) A central switch per floor (basement, ground floor, upper floor) that lowers all the roller shutters/venetian blinds on that floor. Apparently, according to the electrician, this is complicated to implement and quite expensive (= €1000 per switch + wiring).

2) Each roller shutter/venetian blind gets an actuator (is that the correct term?), which we can control via radio. In other words, everything works with switches, but I have the option to send a radio signal to all the roller shutters so they go down or up.

3) Electric radio drives are used (e.g. Somfy Rs 100 io). Then no switches with wiring to the drives would be needed. However, I would then have radio switches stuck all over the wall. Is that really great?

And then there are surely smart possibilities I haven’t thought of... Can you help me?

I don’t understand why you have an entire wall full at 3. There is a central switch, e.g. in the hallway, and at the window you can install individual ones to operate the respective roller shutter individually.

Maybe I didn't express myself well. Yes, there aren't more switches, but they are switches that you stick to the wall (at least with Somfy), which then look different from the rest, and I can already see the kids ripping the switches off.

Our Somfy switches fit into standard frames. However, I don't know which type we have.

1000€ per switch? So 3000€ for all three floors? Let someone say again that KNX is expensive. Intense...
