There is, however, a difference between patching and further distribution to routers or switches.
I simply expect that when the electrician sells me a ridiculously expensive IP door intercom system that apparently can fly and spit fire, he also connects it properly and functionally. At least leading it to a patch panel so that I can then integrate it into my network. Otherwise, I could have just ordered all that crap online!
The electrician must be sick and tired of discussing this with what feels like 50% of the builders. So why doesn’t he offer it as standard?
