Then your business must be pretty lean if you spend so much time giving away thinking.

Well.. I tend to agree more with tomtom79. With 100..200 EUR per hour, you just don’t think about many things anymore. Ordering from Amazon is pretty relaxed. Especially not the really expensive things. You also don’t compare prices anymore but just see where you can get it the next day. Example: I needed a 4G router today, googled quickly yesterday.. what is good.. Amazon ~100 EUR.. ordered. Done. Even with bigger purchases, money plays an increasingly less important role. For example, vacation.. whether it costs only 2000 or 3000 EUR simply no longer affects the decision. Grocery shopping.. it doesn’t matter at all what individual products cost. Only the monthly budget for groceries we try to keep somewhat within limits.

I’m not saying this behavior is good.. but it’s simply developing gradually. Money loses significant value in consumption when there’s relatively a lot available and relatively a lot coming in.

Regards, Steffen

As long as there is less in the account/depot/at the property value etc. than what one is estimated to still spend in the rest of their life, one is poor. As soon as one's net wealth exceeds all the expected future expenses, one is rich. Of course, depending on the investment situation, one also calculates with an expected interest (dividend).

The house is, of course, something permanent, so additional expenses here may be worthwhile because they permanently increase future comfort. But for example, we currently don't drive an expensive car. It gets me from A to B, where B will also only be 10 minutes away from A in the future (commute).

Me, too

What does "good" even mean? Everyone has to decide that for themselves; I’m just wired differently. I hope that maybe it will change sometime

I don’t have a problem spending expensive money on a refrigerator or a few extra euros on renovation if and when the quality is right. I just don’t belong to the people who buy something just because I can. I buy when we/I need something, pay attention to the price-performance ratio, and try not to lose sight of the value of money
