The minimum contribution is 300 euros.

Mothers who stay at home and do not return to work until after the second child then receive only 375 euros of parental allowance with sibling bonus, even if they were high earners before the first parental leave.

I didn't dare to post it because there will be trouble. No ifs or buts. What always leads to problems is when the state interferes in lending decisions

Alright. But these women rarely build a house with their partners. Unless he earns the big money to manage everything on his own. Most here have a more balanced relationship, right? We already established that I don't earn VERY WELL and I already had to swallow hard with the maximum parental allowance. Without savings, we wouldn't have made ends meet. Well, we also weren't frugal and went on vacation.

I have now calculated with average numbers. Of course, this varies individually and can be higher or lower. If you earn more, the gap might be a bit bigger, but you also earn more anyway. The saving rate is 1,200 and no longer 1,700...

I think if the man earns at least an average income, the woman can stay at home as long as she wants with parental allowance and then the enormous income splitting benefits.

Money does not play a role in the decision whether to go to daycare at 8 weeks or 3 years. And it also varies individually. Our daughter was not ready for daycare and playing with other children at one year old. Now at 1 1/2 years she is, and you can notice that. She has contact with children her age, but also spends a few hours every day with us. And that can be different with other children, too. From the experience of many other young parents, we rather found that 1 - 1 1/4 years is a good age for many, and 1 1/2 years is rather late...

I cannot leave it like that. My wife earns about €1700 gross. Of course, we have some room in the financing, or can adjust the installments, but parental leave will definitely hurt us.

Wow, that would have been fatal for us. From the 15th month onwards, there is no money anymore, and then we would have been out on the street. My husband alone cannot cover the apartment with all our expenses, and he does not earn that badly.
