No. I have the same tower and therefore also the storage. For the heat pump, the part that is outside counts. That is not available for me. I just want to get a different heat pump now and wonder if it can also heat the hot water of the Vaillant tower storage or if that only works if it "speaks Vaillant"...

The internet discounters all mention a delivery time of 4-6 weeks, if I'm not mistaken. There should also be two pieces available from a dealer in an online auction house. Can't your sanitation guy just "simply" buy it there for customer satisfaction? As long as he gets the VAT shown, he shouldn't have any problems with accounting - if at all, only with the warranty?

That's how it was for me. The planned Zehnder controlled residential ventilation was suddenly only available from May 2022, so they wanted to install a "house device." Online I found a dealer who had 18 units in stock. Suddenly, there was movement in the matter and 3 weeks later the Zehnder unit was there. It was similar with the bricks, suddenly it was supposed to be December because there were no more bricks available in Germany... o_O. After 20 minutes, I had found various bricks in stock at the local building materials dealer, especially since I didn't have too many specifications for the bricks. It's worth a try to research online once for the device you're looking for, where it is actually in stock, and then share this result with your service provider. I had the same with wood and wood fiber insulation... I think some craftsmen only use the usual ordering route, whereas they could calculate their margin the same way elsewhere.

The online retailers also do not have them immediately available. Apparently, there is a method of not physically having everything in stock yourself but rather listing the wholesalers' inventory + 2 working days delivery time. I did exactly that. My heating technician went along with it, and when the payment (only in advance) arrived, it had to be communicated that it was not actually with the wholesaler. I then called two other dealers again, but in each case, the statement was that it was not with the wholesaler (nor in their own stock) and it could probably take 2-3 weeks. But that only happens in normal times. In the current delivery crisis, the normal processes no longer apply.

Hello Tolentino,
What is the current status of your heat pump and hot water generation? I am also waiting for my Arotherm 35/6, the heating engineer ordered the heat pump from the wholesaler at the end of September. Unfortunately, I still have no delivery date. As a temporary solution, my heating engineer suggested that the Hotboy should remain in operation after the screed heating and continue to run with a fixed set supply temperature of 25°. That way, we can keep our bungalow with 90 sqm adequately warm. The painter and floor layer are now starting their work. Our goal was to move in by the end of January. The general contractor suggested, regarding the move-in, that the Hotboy could continue to be used and hot water production could be done via an 80-liter hot water tank. Of course, the heating engineer wants to be paid for this interim solution...
Your post gave me the idea to reconsider the use of the 190-liter Unitower, which belongs to the construction contract, now and to discard the installation of the 80-liter hot water tank.
How far along is your hot water generation? Is the 190-liter Unitower from Vaillant available? How are you currently heating your house and when do you plan to move in?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi, Unfortunately no news from me. My instantaneous water heater had to go to another construction site. If you are allowed to keep it until the heat pump is delivered, accept the offer. I am currently heating with a fan heater and infrared panels; on the weekend it was only 10-11°C inside. The tower has been with me from the start, apparently there aren’t many problems with it. Unfortunately, the tower alone can’t do anything. It was initially considered to heat everything via the heating element inside it, but according to Vaillant that’s not possible. Then came my idea with the Panasonic as a temporary solution. But my heating technician then told me about the priority list, on which I apparently am. That gave me hope to get one soon. This is now almost worse than waiting until February, when I had already arranged the provisional setup. So please let me know if the effort is worth it; every day Vaillant could suddenly show up... I don’t know if the tower can manage just hot water alone, but heating certainly not.
