he is not entirely wrong. I wondered why no one asked things like "have you kept a household budget, how high is the monthly service charge, what about reserves, what about cars, expensive hobbies," etc. Maybe the partner also has a horse that consumes 600 euros per month (we have had that here before, haven’t we?!). With a rate of 1200 euros and 0.9% interest, that would be a repayment of about 3.0x percent. The remaining debt after 10 years is therefore not insignificant either...

A household budget is kept, expenses without rent about 700 euros per person
House money 200 euros per month
Reserves are then (the apartment is from July 2020) about 10,000 euros per person available

No, my partner does not have an expensive hobby.

Interest rate 1.0% for 15 years and 100,000 euros via the KFW at 0.75% is ok, right?

I think that is okay but it depends on the region, here in the Rhineland, if the purchase price is 375,000 EUR, and I need to finance 365,000 EUR, of which 100,000 EUR is through KfW-55, and the rest as a normal bank loan, then I get the 15 years under 0.90% (with 2% repayment, with 3% repayment it is currently 0.79%)
with the 0.79% for 265,000 EUR and 0.75% for the 100,000 (KfW) the rate would then be 1,157 EUR, so it would fit within 1,200 EUR.

so, you are from Karlsruhe?
then in their surrounding area it is 0.89% for the 265,000 EUR for 15 years (incl. 12 months interest-free construction period, 5% special repayment)
for KfW it remains at 0.75%
