I somehow don't like the floor plan. There are too many angles in it for me. Why only such a small bedroom, but such a large study? Utility room with 3 doors is very inefficient and difficult to furnish. You lose a lot of wall space due to the doors. The space for the kitchen is also very large, but somehow not effective to use because of the doors. The main bathroom seems small and cramped in comparison. And personally, the angle of the entrance door into the living room would bother me, since it is different from the angle of the terrace door.

I don't like it either. You can only get to the kitchen through the living room or utility room, it should be directly accessible. Too many slanted walls, which are also placed arbitrarily... Are they trying to make access fit that way? The living room becomes too narrow and too long, the room proportions are off, and it's hard to furnish. The usable space in the bathroom is very limited. You don't spend time in the front area, but you meet in front of the toilet. Where does this idea come from? And: where does the staircase lead?

Thank you very much for the open criticism, it is all justified, but here are some explanatory attempts attached.

The narrow living room is an argument... We should really take another look to see if the exterior wall can be shifted a bit.
The kitchen having 2 doors is a bit inconvenient, but going through the living room every time when coming from outside (carport)...
The bathroom will not have a double washbasin, that is just an example.
The space for the stairs is only intended as a reserve, as an "added value." The wardrobe will go there.
The angled wall to the living room may be adjusted from the angle to the exterior wall, then only a single door will fit.
That we do not have a private area is not entirely true, the whole house is our private area...
The larger study is a requirement from my wife, additional wardrobes (seasonal clothing) have to go somewhere.
The utility room has to "swallow" quite a lot (heating, ventilation system, washing machine, supplies, etc...) which is why it is so large.

... what you are describing is cosmetic and does not really eliminate the problem points.

Providing a space for the staircase as a "value increase" but not considering where the wardrobe should go is counterproductive.

How often a day do you come from the carport with the need to enter the kitchen directly, and how often a day do you actually enter the kitchen?

Are there building boundaries on the property? What is on the right, left, and top of the plan? The street is at the bottom of the plan - right?

I have now just added up the areas of the individual rooms and corridors. That is 126 sqm ... this can be done much better.

And, it would be good if you at least answer all the questions from

still

A good and functional house design does not need to be justified or explained. I don't see any approach here either because all information is missing. I definitely don't see space for 4 children there!
