Our TV is oriented towards the garden and it works great in the evening, our floor plan is also only optimal for us,
the large open space faces fully south and the terrace and garden are the extension of the living area.
Our children have already left

We do. It's fun when the neighbor's cat sneaks past the window or the squirrels look in through the window. We also don't just sit on the sofa to stare at the TV, sometimes we read. Then a quick glance into the greenery is always nice.

that’s what we had in mind during the planning, holiday home, open, oriented towards the garden, but 98% of the time everything happens downstairs for us,
on the weekend the grandson set up Motor City on the gallery and could only be lured down again to eat

The funniest thing would be if the squirrel looked in right when we are watching Gefragt-gejagt: we and Hobiger like squirrels ;-)

Well, those 5 sqm are missing somewhere else again. This office takes up one window, one door, and significantly a traffic route to that door. Clothes rail and shelves with shoes: perfect! We also have that and I wouldn’t want to miss it. I suggest: find an affordable standard general contractor (GU) that you can afford. They usually have a common 100 sqm simple floor plan with two bedrooms, which can be upgraded a bit, e.g. by shifting walls, swapping utility room/bathroom, or a 10 sqm extension. The site plan is important to know for the supply line to the utility room. If you learn anything new, you can post a floor plan from a GU here that might be an option. After all, with a tight budget, it usually doesn’t happen that you build a simple custom floor plan, so it’s better to choose a floor plan offered by the GU that is usually changeable at no extra cost.

I would be interested to know how you have arranged the couch, glass front, and TV.
