Hello, We are currently planning the kitchen and have, among other things, been to a kitchen studio for this purpose. I have often heard that built-in cupboards for hallways, bedrooms, etc. are also made from kitchen cabinets. Now my idea is to do the same, as we might be able to get a good package price there. Does anyone have experience with this? Were you satisfied? Especially with the price range? ...An alternative would be a carpenter, but since we do not want solid wood/veneer, this is not necessarily necessary. I look forward to your replies.

Good solution, for example, I just heard from Schüller Küchen. They offer the entire range of storage options for all rooms. Wardrobe, utility room equipment, living room walls, etc.

I would just think that planning is done according to standard grid dimensions there. That might not fit everywhere. If so, definitely a cool solution.

Kitchen furniture and their surfaces, I consider to be very durable and stably selectable. In the hallway and utility room and other rooms, an invaluable advantage. We have chosen all interior doors with the strength of a kitchen worktop, resulting in almost zero signs of wear.

Thank you for your answers. That helps me. Does anyone have experience with the price? Compared to a mid-range hallway cupboard from the [möbelhaus]?

Kitchen builders are like all providers. Some are more expensive, some are cheaper. Unfortunately, you can rarely infer quality from the price.

In my experience, it is more economical (both in terms of price and overall) to design surfaces, niches, and corners so that they can be filled with standard products. With clever planning, you can no longer distinguish an Ikea Pax from a built-in cupboard. The IKEA model, however, costs significantly less than a custom-made model.
