To what extent did you revise it? What happened next?

Absurd discussion going on here right now. In the village, at least, there were quite normal harvest festivals where a bit more drinking happened. Also at the volunteer fire department and in the sports club, people are always well involved here, but without pressure and without group affiliation (Catholic or right-wing). These are all quite normal people who want to have fun together in their free time. And each of these stories from you here is an exception and definitely not the rule. In most villages, there is a well-regulated life.

Kati is building again. Back in the countryside, but in the region where her family also lives. I find the discussion about youth culture rather superficial. Between right and left there is as always a large middle. It is just not as loud as the extremes and keeps itself safe during the brawl. Being an outsider is never fun, whether in the city or in the countryside.

Well, in the city you have a greater chance of finding like-minded people and thus relatively speaking being in the middle of [sein(d)/-er] society.

I wrote that these are personal experiences. None of it claims to be found elsewhere. I just wanted to show that there is not the rural idyll either, as it was also one-sidedly portrayed here in other posts. That is why "personal experiences" was at the very beginning of the post. That was how it was for me, and I know that others have had the same experience. Others have had completely different experiences. There is simply not only one or the other – that is all I am trying to say... but whoever wants to read something different into it will do so.

Yes, and unfortunately does not address the no man's land in nowhere. Unfortunately, there is no input at all, nor an explanation why the pharmacy and the restaurant even have a train station. Apparently, it is about Lummerland, Lummerland itself is described very positively and the inhabitants were happy there and content with themselves :)
