...that is also the reason why for many men the tie is too short after tying it.

Thank you very much, great discussion here

That's "funny," we also had a chat about this about a year ago, when we were still in the planning phase. It seems that minimal encroachment happens quite often. In the chain housing, those decisive 2 cm can of course matter. When I googled, I found reports from builders whose garage no longer fit into the gap. Then 2 cm were "planed off" from the insulation with a chainsaw; no idea if that is professionally done like that

Could be, you definitely also helped us a lot in the original thread -->

When is the move-in actually or are you already in?

I’m almost thinking I’ll choose option 1 as well after the reports here. May I ask what the additional measuring cost you? (About €300 was mentioned here?!)

The neighbor is holding back the property for his children, but they are only about 8/10 years old. So it could still take a while before anything is built

We started construction in December, moving in planned for August, if Corona doesn’t throw a wrench in the works.

why not simply a prefabricated garage (e.g. Zapf) with a width of 2.98m?

Best regards

That seems like a contradiction to me (?)

... are one thing, but then there is also the damage caused by the reduced clear width: 298 cm outside is 282 cm inside for a concrete prefabricated garage, with masonry at less than 17.5 cm raw thickness nothing can be done – so we are talking about about twenty centimeters less clear width.

298 cm is the standard size for the “Bauwichgarage,” which already includes a 2 cm gap, therefore assumes a 300 cm lateral boundary distance. At Zapf I found no table; at Dahmit the next smaller standard size would be 292 cm.
