I knew there would be something more about the floor plan :D

1. We had the choice between a longer daily walk from the car to the utility room or an occasional longer walk between the kitchen and living room. The priority was a quickly accessible utility room. Usually, we eat in the kitchen ;) but I have already noticed that this seems to be a northern German village phenomenon to use the dining area in the living room only on special occasions. We currently have an open kitchen and that was a no-go especially for me.

2. The carport will most likely start at the level behind the living room window. The driveway was prepared last Friday up to 4 meters behind the house so that it can be paved later.

3. No, a single-family house, in which only the ground floor is currently being constructed. The upper floor has about 60 sqm of living space but will only be built out in 2-3 years.

4. It's not really a child's room. An office will go there now (no children yet) and the child's room will be built upstairs. It will at most be used as a child's room in toddler age. We could have had the room's name changed but it was unimportant to us.

5. And now no longer off-topic ;D we have now decided on the following variant

The window is not frosted glass, but we have blinds and possibly a pleated blind in front as well, doubling the coverage. That gives privacy. A spot for lighting in the shower was already planned anyway. The advantage is also that the toilet has privacy from the shower and is away from the wall to the bedroom. I imagine it to be quieter at night. It is now on the exterior wall, but with the partition wall the outer wall should remain untouched. The partition wall made of 17.5 cm Ytong at the WC and washbasin will be about 120 cm high and serves as a surface for placing things.

And the bathtub?

I would install the radiator to the right opposite the showerhead.

The bathtub has fallen victim to the furnishings. We have our laundry bin in the bathroom, and with a bathtub it would have been cramped, uncomfortable, and cluttered, hence the renunciation. We still have the upper floor. The bin is supposed to stand opposite the shower (it is a bit more concealed there), so the radiator is placed on the shower wall. At least that’s our consideration.

How is it with storage compartments in the shower? Cut out the space from the 17.5 cm Ytong block or have it built in right away?

Just got a wide a** :D yeah, you got me, I only took the measurement in width - I didn’t really pay attention to the depth. There’s more than enough space in that area anyway

I would make the shower as an "L" and swap the toilet and shower here. Then the toilet is concealed by the back wall of the shower.
