I now also know why the showers are supposed to be so large. So that the curtain does not stick to your legs.

So my personal opinion is that a shower curtain in today's new builds is a total no-go! In some TV shows, one would say, "given the circumstances... sorry, I'm out ;)"

, I would think that over again.

I don't find a curtain so bad now. There are really some really nice ones nowadays. We also have one in our kids' bathroom. First, the curtain brings color and good mood into the bathroom, and second, I don't have to clean a glass door. And third, without a curtain my kids would be freezing and the bathroom would be flooded, even though the shower is big enough - but they are just kids :-D The curtain also doesn't come into contact with the legs in our case.

We also have two small children - and at the moment a glass door in the shower. I don't find that very practical under the circumstances. I imagine a curtain would be better. at least as long as the children are small. I also wouldn't rule out switching to a glass door later.

Our current shower, by the way, has a size of 1.7m x 1.5m. I think that's great and I'd like to have that in our new bathroom as well.

However, I do realize that it doesn't help if the rest of the bathroom becomes super cramped as a result. You should be able to move around comfortably.

Both :) Certainly, I can also imagine a curtain for a child's shower – then you can simply wash the thing in the washing machine and don’t have to clean glass or anything like that. There are also cheerful ones that you can change out from time to time. But planning... I would always plan without a curtain, so with glass! And if you have space: without anything!

Today I showered again in my old children's bathroom at my parents': works perfectly fine at 90 x 90 with a sliding door :p

I never understand this statement at all! Do you really think that the lime scale, which you don’t see as much on the tiles, actually doesn’t exist??? I find that glass is always clean after regular wiping, whereas tiles are really annoying to remove lime scale from, because of the annoying grout lines you can’t wipe them as well in my opinion...
