The last offer just arrived here.
They were all more expensive (4,150€/4,611€/4,920€) than our window installer (3,946€).

I have now confirmed with him, we have an appointment on Thursday to discuss the details.
He also prefers the installation on the concrete overlay, the installation would then simply be pressure-free to avoid damaging the PUR board on the concrete lintel, but that wouldn’t be a problem, he said.

I’m very glad now that everything is working out, in the meantime I had already thought we’d stick with the umbrella.

Price-wise we’re probably doing quite well for an electric Markilux, based on what one finds on the internet. They often charge around ~1,000€/lfm, we would be at 790€.

We have installed a Warema K70 (6m x 4m). Controllable via remote control and switch in the house. For the implementation, we connected the Warema actuator between the switch and the power connection of the awning. We are very satisfied and it works great. Unfortunately, I can’t say much about durability since the awning has only been "hanging" for a year. The decisive factor for the purchase decision in favor of Warema was that my parents have had a Warema awning for about 20 years and it has never caused any problems to this day.

If I understand you correctly, the anchor to which the mounting plate is screwed goes through the clinker brick and is installed in the concrete ceiling. How do you implement this? With such a large awning, quite some forces accumulate (tons act on it). Can the anchor rods handle this? I would be concerned that they might bend. Also, the design must be capable of absorbing the forces (horizontal and vertical). We realized this using Schö** Isokorb type calcium silicate and had it installed in the concrete ceiling during the construction phase (at the distance necessary for the awning). Adapters were screwed on these, which on one side are designed to fit the Isokorb and on the other side fit the Warema adapter plate.

If the awning gets wet, retract it and let it dry out as soon as possible. Using the awning as rain protection is a bad idea! Also, never touch the wet fabric or, for example, press against it. That is “poison” for the fabric.

Wind up to wind force 5 was also sold to me as "great." In practice, it is like this: when a slightly stronger wind blows, you already get afraid that the awning will twist. In the end, the awning will only be outside with almost no wind and sunshine... and only when we are around.

We did not take any such precautions during the construction phase. In the consultation, we were always told that such a bridging anchoring (if you use the appropriate rods going into the concrete ceiling at the back (with bonding)) is their normal business and should not cause any problems. In our case, it goes through approx. 11 cm of clinker brick front wall, as well as 1.5 cm air gap and 20 cm of insulation wool into the concrete ceiling. For a 6.5 m x 3.5 m awning, probably 5 x 2 rods would be used (4 on each side behind the joint arm plus one bracket in the middle so that the wide box does not sag).

Are you still online here? What does your awning look like now?

Yes, I read along from time to time
The awning turned out rather unspectacularly gray but does what it’s supposed to, casts shade, the living room no longer heats up so extremely and the gray is pleasant when sitting underneath.
I’m happy to take a photo for you sometime, but it wasn’t that easy.... many wanted to work with 2 awnings because of the size (which I didn’t want)
