Right decision. Anyone who now forgoes their commitment to submit a new application will probably end up with nothing due to the discontinuation of the 55 funding.

How much time do we still have? I know the funding expires on 01/31, but what exactly applies to that date?
Is it the building permit, the application directly at KfW, or the signing of the contract with the start of construction?

I would decide that before the application - otherwise you'll spend 3-4 thousand on the energy consultant and then build without funding... If KFW55ee then submit the draft planning to the energy consultant and say you need the documents and confirmation for the application (BZA) number within 1 week. You can apply until 31 Jan. - building time 2-3 years. Changes allowed - in the end it must be Kfw55ee or there is no grant...

Only the KfW application has to be submitted. After that, you have time.
