OMG. What an excitement.
I also forgot power outlets......in hindsight. There are 2.
Fault: me...because I planned it....
It took me 6 months to realize that something else would have been better *would have been*.
I'll solve it sometime. Or never.
If anyone fictitiously bought the house, they would definitely be missing 103 power outlets somewhere.
And I measured myself wrong once, a SAT socket disappears behind a cabinet because my drawing did not include a freezer chest.
Fault: me. Because I planned it. Drew it. Laid the cables there.....
Solution: core drill. The cabinet has a door that "covers" the trouble.
My electrician and I completely forgot the wiring of the speakers for the extensive surround system, due to all the excitement, work, stress and because the stupid thing was stored away at the time and disappeared from my consciousness and reality. Something was planned there...laugh. SO WHAT? We just "cobbled" something in later together - with wide grins and a few beers. Nobody sees it anymore. Works perfectly.
Now little things are not 102% perfect, but just perfect. So what? That really doesn't matter. The main thing is: it works in everyday life. It does.
The compensation solution proposed here in this case looks really usable overall. Plus a 40 inch FS.....or the offer to make it perfect. The electrician stands by it, he doesn’t skimp, it seems to me. Fair! I read about it briefly today. If that is going to be your main FS room anyway, then disruptive factors as described are generally rare. I would recommend the solution here with the least impact that provides permanent TV enjoyment. And that is possible.
Best regards
Thorsten
