Hello,
sorry, I was just too groggy last night to feel like typing anymore ;)
if that were the case, there wouldn’t be constant shows about what went wrong here and there... and this and similar forums would also make less sense... many mistakes happen during the shell construction and much of it remains undiscovered until it’s too late...
Have you ever answered the question why it is always a certain type of person who is "featured" in these shows? And maybe furthermore, why building owners, against better knowledge, still save on an accompanying expert in favor of a "nice to have"?
I have had the chance to experience two of these formats up close, since then I know for sure, they are all fakes. The idea behind it was originally very good; that’s exactly why I even accepted the invitation. Then sponsors, producers, and directors came in, and the will to inform impartially and factually was gone. At the very least, it has to be dramatic; that’s why Allkauf® once had to dismantle their shell construction again because the installation of the gable walls was filmed in windless conditions.
I never claimed that I work without mistakes...
Unfortunately, that often reads differently in your posts.
On German construction sites, predominantly good to very good work is delivered; unfortunately, these are not found on the internet. And even the negative reports—one is currently keeping me on my toes—must be viewed with the necessary objectivity and distance. What you usually find are single-family homes that were sold significantly underpriced, with clever BB or unjustifiably high EL. Everyone—even laymen—can clearly understand that the quality of the trades suffers as a result... but no one wants to hear that; after all, he (the builder) is an ambitious layperson on the internet. RTL® & Co additionally hype it up media-wise and then it’s again the "poor" builder who got into trouble through no fault of his own. Hardly anyone knows that the so-called experts involved often have a contractual relationship with a competitor of the shown provider; a little thinking would already help there. I am just disgusted at how an entire industry is being publicly shamed.
Of course, there are also bad apples, but they are in the minority and only have the chance to operate because there are builders who want to own a single-family house at any cost... and of course, save on an expert. Everyone gets what they deserve ;)
But an additional (forgotten!) satellite socket is a small thing... yes, it means sacrificing a working day and maybe 100 euros for material, but it’s doable and since the handover has not yet taken place, all doors are still open.
That’s what I meant in a previous post about effort versus result. €100 material + hourly wage versus costs “x” for breaking open, plastering work, and wall covering.
The suggestions you make are like gibberish to me; so I don’t even try to embarrass myself. I just wanted to emphasize that electricians are “only” human and that they are allowed to make mistakes. In forums like these, there is often the opinion that every person may make mistakes, but no craftsman; he has to function like a mechanical clock.
Apparently, the OP and her electrician have found a solution; if they both can live with it, then it’s all good ;)
Rhenish greetings
