When standing in front of the heat pump, a slightly smaller minimum distance must be maintained on the left side (40cm vs 60cm), so that would probably be more practical. But doesn't that violate the minimum distance to the neighbor on the other side? I would talk to the general contractor to see if a manufacturer and model change might be possible due to the special circumstances. The heat pump from is, as far as I know, a "normal" heat pump with complete indoor installation. Maybe she can say something more about it and name her model?

Ah, I found it, the Tecalor THZ 504 combines all devices in one: heat pump, controlled residential ventilation, hot water storage tank.

Where in the house is the HTR?

What exactly is excluded in the BP? Outdoor unit facing the street? I would tend to go for a complete indoor installation with an outlet opening facing the street.

Yes, we have a Tecalor THZ 504. I have also written quite a bit about the device on my blog (Chris and Kati build a house) and included photos. It is installed indoors only. It is a combined unit, air-water heat pump and ventilation system, and takes up half of the utility room. But it is a good device, we are satisfied. To be honest, it is probably somewhat oversized for our house (in terms of heating capacity). But we are happy; the first full year cost about €54 per month for energy for heating, ventilation, and hot water.

I just joined in the middle.

I don't think any of the three installation options are particularly good.

Definitely not by the garage. Even if your device is quiet, it's like a sound funnel. But I wouldn't want that thing on the terrace either.

Then rather option 3.

But as already asked, why not in front of the house? Did I miss something, are there reasons for that? Where is the utility room?

With these options, I would also go for an indoor installation.

You could possibly challenge that. Since heat supply via heat pump is actually explicitly desired, such a ban doesn’t really make sense. As if the street had to be the nicest place in a settlement...
