Hello everyone,

we met with our builder this week. The following solutions were offered:

1. Indoor installation using an exhaust air heat pump (Nibe F750 / no delays or additional costs)
2. Ground source heat pump (additional cost €15,000; possibly more if bedrock is encountered / no delays)
3. Alternative locations for the air-water heat pump (see below)

We are now undecided what the best option is. Geothermal is only an alternative for us if the costs are capped, as we did not budget for the additional costs and do not want to use up our buffer right at the beginning.

Currently, we tend toward option 3 (alternative installation location) option 1. Here the question arises whether the installation location, with distances maintained (e.g. 30-40 cm from garage and house), is suitable or if I will then have problems, for example due to a thermal short circuit or increased noise disturbance.

I am open to suggestions and ideas.

Best regards,
ConnyJash

Why again did the garage roof not work?

Distance area to the neighbor is not maintained. Noise disturbance, because it then stands between two house walls. Architect also says not permissible.

Installation at the border to the neighbor on the right is not possible, as the neighbor does not agree.

Oh, the strip is exactly three meters, right?
How is it with the house wall above the terrace? Of course, it’s not a visual highlight, but it isn’t on the ground either. Maybe you could even put [eine Terrassenüberdachung] on it...

We had asked if the outdoor unit could be "hung up". According to the architect, this is not possible. Additionally, the outdoor unit would then be hanging on the window of the children's room.

Is there a reason why all the exhaust directions are to the left or right? Not away from the house?

And I already asked once: why not towards the street? With refrigerant lines, that should not be a problem under the floor slab...

Option 1 is by the way not a good option.
