Hi,

we have the above sink and are totally dissatisfied with it because you can really see EVERY water spot on it.

We were already at Ikea and they would also accept it back with a hole.

However, it seems problematic to find a sink of the same size because the countertop is supposed to remain in this shape.

Does anyone have an idea??

The internet doesn't offer much for this size 88 * 53 or I haven't found anything

The name of the sink is unfortunately missing. 88*53 is the outer dimension, more interesting for you would be the size of the cutout in the countertop. Otherwise: this cutout can of course still be enlarged ...

PS: If it is the sink I suspect, the cutout should be 10 mm smaller on all sides.

Vattudalen 1 1/2

Would you have larger ones, if possible ceramic or quartz composite as a suggestion??

The problem is the depth of the recess (best to measure it again). The shock drop-in sink DOMUS D-100 could fit (outer dimension 525mm in depth), possibly the recess in the countertop would still need to be provided with supports.

OK, thanks for now.

What do you mean by the supports and wouldn't you then see the supports in the top view??

Hello,

you can't necessarily see them. According to the dimensional drawing, the mentioned sink has a 525mm deep frame - your countertop cutout (if done according to the Ikea instructions) should be just under 510mm, so that it is then completely covered. Hence the question, how big the cutout actually is.

By support I meant wooden battens of suitable thickness that are screwed flush with the countertop surface from the inside into the cutout and then enlarge the support surface of the sink (according to the manufacturer, only a 480mm cutout is necessary). I have no experience with the mentioned model - maybe the composite sinks from Ikea might also fit?
