Maybe the system from Blumartin is something for you, you have to google it. We were offered it too, but I declined because I was convinced by the system of the classic central controlled residential ventilation.

Yes, we felt the same way. That’s why we don’t have a ventilation system. We will do the classic opening and closing of windows.

Although I wonder how it is possible that you haven’t decided yet, if the construction starts at the end of April. Everything should already be applied for by now.

Do you have to apply for ventilation? I don't think so.

Without. We have windows that we can open and close. Inside there is clay plaster and a radiant heat source as heating and no air conditioning, ventilation, or central heating. This leads to excellently regulated humidity. Stuffy room climate only occurred once with a mass of guests in the last pre-Corona winter and was quickly resolved within minutes by cross-ventilation and generous window openings. Like you, I do not have good thoughts when I have forced ventilation ducts all over the house. Alone the combination of regular filter maintenance and my consistency in having regular work done makes me shudder.

Baufritz offers a hybrid. It is an exhaust system with CO2-controlled ventilation flaps in the rooms. So a decentralized system without individual fans but with the same holes in the facade and a large exhaust fan including the corresponding piping.

I would opt for a centralized controlled residential ventilation system. Because with Baufritz you simply have both... the pipes and the holes.

The system notifies you when the filters need to be replaced. In other words, it is very irregular. Roughly comparable to changing the vacuum cleaner bag (if you still have/know such a thing).
