Air-water heat pump the TTL 9.5 I from Tecalor

He still hasn't told us a model for the ventilation system...

With KNX it would be relatively simple. It depends on which functions are to be covered. For example, in the simplest version, one could create a few scenarios that could then be executed manually and automatically.

How do I imagine a "joint control" via KNX? What is the benefit of joint control? Isn’t the heating engineer basically right when he says: one device ventilates, the other heats? How can they communicate with each other at all? Maybe you can give me one or two scenarios.

The fulfillment of the BAFA funding requirements. Conceivable scenarios with alibi justification: Ventilation increases by one level when the heat pump is running so that the heat is better distributed and heat buildup is avoided. Or the other way around: Ventilation only switches on when the heat pump is not running, so that the heat is not immediately blown out again.

In my opinion, your heating engineer is indeed right in this case: heating and ventilating are two independent things that do not require any connection. Unfortunately, BAFA sees it differently ...

The train of thought probably still comes from manual ventilation and radiator thermostats. In the past, when ventilating by opening windows, people also turned off the radiators. Of course, there was no 90% heat recovery, but that is probably beside the point. I would like to know how such funding conditions come about...
