Air-water heat pump flow temperatures

Outside temperature currently 5.1 degrees, return flow 24.2, supply flow 24.4. Room temperature 22-24 degrees

How can the spread between return flow and supply flow be only 0.2 degrees? Your heat pump is standing still and not running.

My current data at 5 degrees outside: supply flow 29.8 degrees, return flow 25 degrees, room temperature 22.5 degrees

You must not forget, most (all?) heat pumps are controlled by return flow. That means you set the max. return flow temperature on your heating curve! It is usually somewhere between 27-30 degrees. That means in the extreme case a supply flow up to 33-35 degrees. Although it never actually gets that cold.

Okay that already sounds more interesting, I was just wondering if around 26°C flow temperature at 20-21°C room temperature is normal when it's about 8°C outside. Because according to the calculation, the system should or must manage with 30°C flow temperature at a maximum of minus 12°C, that's why I was surprised if I am already at 26°C flow temperature and it's not even freezing yet.
