well. You first have to burn 17,300 euros.. you can also heat a lot for 10,000 euros.. and if you ventilate properly, not too much heat is lost.

Then ventilate often enough and properly. You’re getting a hermetically sealed house – and you’ll notice that immediately when you wake up in the bedroom in your own stale air ;) .

But I can fully understand the "price" argument in these times. Then definitely book option 14. You’re not buying ventilation, but living comfort (I know both – central from the last new build and now decentralized in the old building – never again without).

For rough-sawn boards, that would be a great price. At the time, I was charged 790 EUR for 20m² of OSB boards... so I'm rather skeptical about the 64m². That seems very cheap to me...

Regarding the boxes. You have to talk to them. If in the end they install normal boxes for you, you haven't achieved anything. But the surcharge is already crazy, considering that a 20-pack of deep boxes costs around 3 EUR at the hardware store. And whether the electrician drills 46mm or 68mm deep...

PS:
And woe betide if you end up with mold because you didn't ventilate like a champion. Then the 17,000 EUR is just the first installment for the remediation.

Just bought some sqm of 24mm tongue and groove boards (for the bike shed) Price is fair. Install roof windows! (Light) Decentralized ventilation no no no! (It does not exist in whisper quiet and will always! Annoy. I'm totally with @xmisterx on the deep boxes

And have you noticed a big difference between central and decentralized?

Does it make sense to commission the decentralized ventilation system through the general contractor or can you save if you ask the future heating engineer directly?!

The problem is also that I don't find the decentralized fan offered here visually appealing, but it is quite expensive nonetheless.

Is the drilling always deep enough for the deeper boxes anyway? So is it just about the plastic boxes themselves in such an "upgrade"?

Not good advice. I’m not even annoyed by the tram that still rumbles past my window 50m away. At least take the decentralized ventilation. If it annoys you too much, you can always remove it, insulate, plaster, then it’s quiet.

Retrofitting causes much more effort and especially dirt.
