Be that as it may - I prefer a heat source with a high infrared radiation share anyway rather than all the low-temperature systems or suction-blow systems. It is not only a matter of cost but also of comfort. Therefore, also check [Infrarot Wandheizung].

But that's then in the form of a "radiator," right? Because with flush mounting you can only install a surface heating system. And I find underfloor heating quite comfortable.

Regarding the additional costs: I have a wall heating in the gallery, the cost driver there was not the plumbing but the plasterer. Large area 2-layer lime-gypsum plaster with mesh. It had to be applied in two work steps. Attaching the heating coil to the wall was not the problem.

Then overall the thread title was chosen misleadingly. It says "Wandheizung statt Fußbodenheizung" but only in some rooms according to the first post. Therefore my reference to incompatibility.

If "only" a bit more heating surface is to be added in addition to the underfloor heating, then that is completely unproblematic.

Yes, originally it was correctly interpreted that there should be no underfloor heating in a room and instead a wall heating. And then the topic "In the bathroom, in addition to underfloor heating, a wall heating is often installed" came up. The tip with an infrared heater was also good.

Everything is clarified so far. Thanks @ all.
