Yes, but as a towel rail heater. These are usually electric and have nothing to do with underfloor heating.

I consider a proper wall heating system quite legitimate and it is probably done more often. This way, you can save yourself a towel radiator, which usually contributes little to heating the room anyway. A wall heating system is not that much effort. Clamping rails are screwed to the wall, and the pipe is clipped onto them. Then plastered with mesh. The same pipe as used in underfloor heating can be used here, or multilayer composite pipe. I also installed a wall heating system, but in drywall construction. It was about 80 meters. Otherwise, the heating output in the bathroom would not have been sufficient.

It is absolutely correct to consider a wall heating system in addition to underfloor heating for a heat pump to provide sufficient heating surfaces in the bathrooms! It also does not require any additional hardware such as mixers or the like, only the control valve (HKV) will be larger. The approach is correct, although not the standard...

No, no, it is intended as a warm water surface heating for the heat pump, in order to increase the heat-radiating surface area in the bathroom (as the warmest room in the house). The tip about using infrared heating instead of surface heating is also a possible way, as the room is only used / heated sporadically anyway

I can confirm that as I helped with the installation of ours. Costs are/were no different than for the floor.

Of course, hydronic wall heaters are up to date and installed without additional hydraulics. Only, they are not used as often in our latitudes, since underfloor heating is generally sufficient. Or wall heating is used only if the builder has an aversion to underfloor heating but still desires a modern low-temperature heating system.
