Additional costs for wall heating instead of underfloor heating

One just doesn’t do it that often in our latitudes, since the underfloor heating is usually sufficient.

Or because the heating installer doesn’t feel like it and instead simply installs a towel radiator, because that’s how it’s always been done.

Of course, one should basically choose interior walls for the wall heating rather than exterior walls, right?

The interior wall is basically warmer than the exterior wall. If this difference is further increased by the wall heating, you get a higher circulation with decreasing "coldness" at the exterior wall. This is less comfortable than a lower circulation without this "cold drop effect".

Sounds at first contradictory in terms of energy loss to increase the temperature on the exterior wall. But probably with today's U values not so relevant after all.

In the modern house, it is relatively indifferent. I would prefer inside. Provided that sufficient space is accessed inside, one loses slightly less heat overall / depending on the wall structure of the exterior wall.
