Wood or stone around the pool?

I would also clearly tend towards stone, because it looks nice and well-maintained and furthermore it is less expensive and much easier to care for.

I think that wood looks much nicer, but because of all the water, mold really forms in the end and that wouldn't be worth it.

You are right when you say that wood looks much nicer. I also like wood very much, but if you lay stone slabs, then you are on the safe side. I have seen quite a few pools where everything was made of wood and can only tell you that most of them look catastrophic!! So I wouldn't want to have my pool like that. That's why you better take stone.

This is an important and good tip. Otherwise, there are many types of wood that are naturally better suited than others, e.g. teak wood. Ultimately, of course, it is also a question of price.

wenn man sich für Holz entscheidet dann sollte man für einen guten Abfluss sorgen. Denn wenn das Holz nicht richtig trocknen kann dann wird es rutschig mit der Zeit. Außerdem können sich dann Pilze dort ansiedeln und die machen das Holz dann mit der Zeit auch kaputt.
