For an additional 10k we would have chosen wood/aluminum. The difference was 35k and we finally found something for the punch list. Since we have a lot of wood both outside and inside the house anyway, the dark plastic windows prove to be visually harmonious - I had some concerns about that before. Today I wouldn’t think twice about that decision. Nothing is missing.

The essential question is, do you want the windows to be wood-colored on the inside as well? If not, I would opt for plastic or aluminum; if you really like wood, then for me it would now depend on the total window area and which wood is included in the price inside. We have wood/aluminum and are very satisfied, whereby we took the wood inside with a light white lacquer (grain visible). Aluminum "two-tone" would have been similarly expensive, but by now I would take wood (oak) with a natural glaze on the inside.

Then just follow my mantra and take the stone your builder knows best. A wall is a product of stone and mason, and no manufacturer has the philosopher’s stone in their range.

I had wooden windows (softwood) in the then common color maize yellow on my house. I had the windows painted exactly once, although that wouldn’t necessarily have been needed. Now 30 years have passed and the windows are still top, although at that time I had expected something different from softwood instead of the harder Meranti. For me, it would merely be a question of personal feeling as well as aesthetics and price. I have not recognized any noticeable added value over all these years with our or the neighbors’ other windows. I believe one can invest more meaningfully elsewhere.

I would only choose wood-aluminum if I want to have wood aesthetically on the inside ... otherwise, plastic plastic is completely sufficient ...

and regarding [poroton]:
That you can't hang anything on it is nonsense and certainly not a reason not to choose it ....
There would be more important reasons for me, such as soundproofing
