Who has to pay the demolition costs for container construction?

I am aware of that. I only wanted to express my mistrust towards this person with this statement and thus also against the amounts listed in the inventory of the estate.

In living quality, such a container 6*2.45*2.75m should cost between 10k and 15k. Import from China was certainly even cheaper back then. Or even an old refugee shelter? Depreciation over 20 years. But what you get depends on demand. The only way is to get quotes or, as already said, put it online.

Many thanks for the professional information! This way I have a rough overview of what value might still be there.

The most important question has not yet been answered. How much is the entire estate? You get nothing if the inheritance is less than the demolition costs. You get a maximum of 11,000.-- less if there is more money. If the money from the house sale is gone, you definitely need a lawyer. I also believe that the containers have value.

I would actually not do that without a lawyer, especially if the other party is represented by a lawyer. Do you have the possibility to share the lawyer's fees with your sister? If financially nothing works at all, you would probably also be entitled to legal aid, which you could apply for at your competent district court. Then the state treasury covers the lawyer's costs, your own contribution is 15 EUR. Alternatively (because most lawyers are not particularly eager to take legal aid cases) you could also try to agree with a lawyer that his fees are paid after receiving the compulsory portion.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much left from the house sale 1.5 years ago. We only know of €20,000 (listed in assets). It must be more, otherwise the sister wouldn’t have accepted the inheritance. But we cannot prove it. Unfortunately, we cannot afford a lawyer, we are currently only in a legal community (Erbschützer), but they only pursue the case further if we can prove a positive estate. A part (commission) would then go to them upon success. Even €20,000 would not be worth the effort and costs to take it to court. It looks bad for us. If we lose the case, we would have to bear all the costs ourselves, which is impossible. And the aunt and her lawyer are very cunning. I know from her that she is a member of a sect. She has already tried to persuade us to join in the past. I fear no chance.
