White-anthracite - Where does the preference come from?

I have noticed that many new houses are being built in white-anthracite and that kitchens or bathroom tiles are also chosen in anthracite colors. As a soft yellow-cream-white/soft yellow-cream-green or soft yellow-cream-light wood color type, I would like to know what you appreciate about the combination white-anthracite and whether anthracite does not have a depressing effect on you in terms of mood. I am also interested in what you associate with this color scheme, which memories/impressions you connect with it. And whether, in your opinion, it has always been exactly what you wanted and liked or whether you were motivated by the many current examples. Feel free to associate freely and emotionally, I do not know anyway if one can approach the question with reason.

I think anthracite is great to combine, especially with wood. We, for example, wanted parquet flooring everywhere, and anthracite-colored tiles as well as furniture simply look good with it.

Personally, I can't stand it anymore on windows, especially when combined with white plaster. It just looks boring.

I think it's just a matter of taste. For us, everything is also white, gray, and black, we like it very much. In terms of atmosphere, it naturally has no depressing effect, it appears bright and friendly.

If you look back about 30 years, the houses looked almost the same. White paint and anthracite windows. My grandma has that too. Why is shuffle dance so trendy? It also comes from the 80s/90s. But white and anthracite is just very neutral. I'm curious when something new will come, because I can't stand it anymore either, my feet fall asleep from watching it.

Inside I like gray though, as it goes well with wood color.
