Painting is quite easy, filling in costs money, takes time, is exhausting, and is not as easy as it looks. Gluing the floor, so vinyl, I found less difficult. Pouring the screed with leveling compound and smoothing it is not so hard, there are YouTube videos about it, the actual laying is also possible. Getting ceilings right is really difficult, both when painting and filling. Brushing the eaves, on the other hand, was easy. Why wooden windows? No one uses those anymore. Plastic, and that's it. Paving, I couldn’t do that, but laying a lawn, you can do that yourself too. It’s just diligence. Assembling the kitchen I find hard. K.

If you are average skilled as a craftsman, only do trades that do not disrupt the schedule. You will take longer otherwise. I only see painting.

So with us it is planned:

- Helping the electrician (chasing, installing sockets, pulling cables in the concrete ceiling, ...)
- Laying wooden floors
- Tiling the basement (the bathrooms might also be possible but we don't quite dare because of the large-format tiles)
- Paving (we are paving the courtyard and the inside of the garage, here the preparation work is extremely important. If you bring everything clean to the water, laying the stones is the least of the problems)
- Painting
- Outdoor facilities
....
These are the most important things, but we have no time pressure because we don't currently pay rent

Personally, I wouldn't trust myself with the stove.

I find this advice extremely important. That is also my premise, I don't take on anything where someone is waiting for me to finish so that work can continue. On the one hand, you might not always be able to jump around and get things done immediately, on the other hand, as mentioned, it takes longer.

My own plans: I helped with building the interior walls, next weekend it continues. I am also doing the insulation on the ground floor slab myself (here I violated my premise!!). Drywall upstairs (roof slope, ceiling), insulating the ceiling on the upper floor, laying boards in the attic. The floors still need to be decided, I haven't decided everywhere what will be done. "Painting" (also see about that, is wallpaper still up?) also DIY, in the end it will be something I can do.

I count three weeks of vacation and basically all my free time, and certainly the last brush stroke won't be done by move-in.

I once wallpapered the penultimate apartment, eight weekends in a row completely, managed about 70/110m², just to give an idea of the time required. The rest came later, gradually.

Much has already been said, but if you don't even want to tile yourself, then all you have left is painting and laying wooden floors. Tiling yourself would bring you the most savings, but that's not the case.

The distance is not negligible either.

What savings did you actually hope for? Because if it's just painting and laying the floor, then everything together amounts to less than 10k€.

You cannot just go to the construction site after work. No tasks that you have to complete under time pressure. Parental leave without parental allowance also costs, and you receive it after application based on months of life. Trades may be waiting for you again under certain circumstances. Simply because you cannot start next Monday. Own work is only possible after acceptance. Wallpapering, painting, floors, fixtures in the bathroom, stair railings, paving, outdoor area,
