MDT blinds actuators have that integrated. If the door is open, the curtain is raised and the shading is locked. It is integrated into the ventilation function of the actuator. Ideally, two contacts are installed on the doors, allowing a distinction between tilt/open/closed. Both contacts can be connected to the blinds actuator. When tilted, only the slat is set horizontally; when opened, it is raised. When closed, the shading is restarted if necessary.

And exactly there I see a weak point. I go outside and close the door behind me because I don't want any vermin in the house. The state is closed as a result, right? So I go to the grill and behind me the shading goes down again.

Then you need a door with lock monitoring. It makes sense anyway, for example if you want to visualize the lock status of the house. In an emergency, this could also work with an EnOcean handle. However, it does not detect the real lock status if, for example, someone turns the handle while the door is open.

I am aware of that. My question is, how do you avoid this behavior? How do you deal with this circumstance? Do you leave the door open? Do you have a corresponding handle set? Do you take the risk and hope you don’t get locked out? Do you have any locking function for the roller shutter that somehow engages when you go out?

If you install a closure monitoring system, you can close the door if you want, but it remains unlocked and thus the shading at this door remains locked as long as the door is not closed from the inside (by handle).

This scenario is easy to accomplish with two simple window contacts (e.g. Roto MVS)

Our windows are equipped with the Aerocontrol contacts from Siegenia. Two pieces each. The manufacturer specifies closure and opening monitoring. Unfortunately, I do not quite understand the detailed description...
