I will report in 10 years

Yes, they have partners for just about everything and we also took a quick look at the price list. If controlled residential ventilation, then air heating would be suitable (Proxon) – according to the seller. But they also install a pure controlled residential ventilation system for 10 to 15k€ (I didn’t write down the manufacturer).

Because the air is so dry that all cut flowers and houseplants dry out...

No idea. How can I find out and what does it depend on?

You are referring to the controlled residential ventilation and apart from the relatively high purchase price, which is disproportionate considering the simple technology, I currently see no reason why your statement should prove correct. In case of doubt, such a system can also simply be deactivated.
The devices are installed precisely to improve indoor air quality and ventilation systems themselves are not a new invention. Some care and maintenance belong to every system. What does the inside of your car’s “ventilation system” look like?

My flowers are still alive despite the ventilation system and my watering habits. When the air outside is dry in winter, no ventilation system can bring humidity into the rooms. Why do many people place bowls of water on their radiators? What might help is a clay plaster that, for example, absorbs cooking moisture and releases it later. How is air exchange guaranteed in the house concept you are considering? Window rebate ventilation or windows completely open? This house will be airtight like all the others. Do not install a pure air heating system—especially if you don’t have a passive house. If the heat recovery system is not sufficient, it will immediately use electricity to heat. There is a system from Tecalor and Stiebel that is more effective. It is a cross between a conventional air-water heat pump and an air-air heat pump. Ask the building authority about geothermal drilling. We are in a protected healing spring area, among other things, and were therefore not allowed.

Yes, the Proxon air heating is not coming into my house. There is no water protection area or anything like that here. It’s just a question of whether the drill will go through the stone, but the Isowood seller said they have already had drilling done several times in our area...

We also went to Stommel Haus and received the building service description and were able to compare. I didn’t read anything about air exchange at Isowood; at Stommel Haus, it says something about window rebate ventilation... They also only manage KFW55 with their wall construction, and what was promised as jute in the building service description then becomes “sustainable and really great ecological” glass wool from Knauf with ecose binder.

Somehow we felt not taken completely seriously. Unlike with Isowood, we did not receive detailed information about the wall and roof construction and had to pull everything out of the salesperson. Also, the demeanor was “slightly arrogant,” and they made it clear to us that the usual clientele has more money. In addition, their order books are full, and they only want to deal with our concern further if we are “pretty sure we want to build with Stommel Haus.” Definitely a different league in terms of price, but I also wonder where you would actually end up with both in the end. Example of parquet: Isowood calculates €20 (or maybe €25, I would have to look it up) per sqm, and Stommel Haus €61!

Still, I find Isowood’s transparency appealing, and if you calculate a bit more generously here, you still remain well below the prices that Stommel Haus demands. What I really like about Stommel Haus is the installation level. Allegedly, you can simply unscrew the baseboards and then pull new cables. With all other wooden prefab houses, you have to plan very carefully, and then all recesses for pipes, cables, and lines are prepared in the factory. Changes afterward are apparently not so easy... but how often do you need that with good planning?

Next, we wanted to take a look at Nordhaus; they also have a very long experience and seem to be attractive in price. And they also use that ecose stuff from Knauf. Let’s see what they say about controlled residential ventilation and heating.

Best regards

Ask Isowood how the minimum air exchange and moisture protection are ensured

Parquet for 25 euros? Usable laminate costs more than that Our one cost around 80 euros including installation and was rather in the lower price range. Nothing with planks. But solid wood single-layer.

And how does the cable get from the floor to the box? With a router? With good planning, nothing should come up after moving in.

If you don't feel well taken care of, leave it. You are the customer. You are investing a lot of money.

Go away from the big ones to the carpenter around the corner. Your budget is very tight. Carpenters who build 2 houses a year are often flexible and work with companies around the church tower

Nothing is routed in an installation level. There is a generous gap in the wall structure for cables and pipes. Only when there are wooden crossbeams in the level do you drill a passage in case of retrofitting and possibly a hole, for example for an outlet. It's quite practical.
