What is the size of the interior doors? 90 or 100 cm / 211 cm?

For very large thick people, you need such monster doors. Otherwise, it makes little sense. Are you over 2m tall and over 150kg heavy?

One meter wide makes sense when you get old and need walking aids. Rollator.

I think this is less about needing than about wanting. And it is largely a question of proportions. In a house with 70m2 of living space on the ground floor and a converted attic, such large doors obviously do not fit, regardless of whether I am 2m tall or 150 kg heavy.

Such wide doors naturally also need more space to open. A few centimeters of floor space are also lost at the wall. But, with all due respect: Even with 150kg and 2 meters, you can get through a 70cm wide door ^^

I feel like I am always "an expert" as a management consultant and, just over ten years ago, was closer to 150 kg than to 2 m.

Economically speaking, the answer is clear: 213 cm is a trendy height (and therefore increasingly a. a stock size and b. competitively priced), whereas 226 cm is still a made-to-order dimension.

If is only asking about taste, I assume there is no Goliath among the residents. Without motivation stemming from height, there is still a reference value left: namely the lintel height of the windows.

I would want to avoid that – warning, perspective distortion! – in the relation between door lintel height and window lintel height the impression arises that the windows are "wearing their hats pulled down low."

My conclusion – but as a former building components manufacturer without special expertise in interior doors – is a clear vote for a door height of 213 cm. Even "gets by with it," and he at least has rooms with open gables.

How persistently you ask for expert opinions
You seem to be a funny fellow.

Have you ever presented your construction project somewhere as a draft?
I'm curious
