Hi,

we have installed the aforementioned ventilation unit, it is located in the basement. The shaft, in which all pipes and cables run from top to bottom (including those of the ventilation system), goes from the basement into the shower (ground floor) into the children's room (top floor). In the shower and in the children's room, the pipes are installed behind drywall. Sound attenuators are installed in the basement. Now, in most rooms the ventilation noise is hardly audible, but in the children's room, where the pipes are behind the drywall, it is quite loud. However, the noise does not come from the wall, but from the ventilation outlet, which is located in the floor.

Why is the noise louder there than, for example, in the bedroom or the other children's room, where ventilation outlets are also installed in the floor? I can't make sense of it - I would understand it if it were generally loud, but in the aforementioned children's room it is noticeably louder.

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
StarAce

Shorter path, resulting in higher pressure. There are definitely insulation mats that can be installed in the valve in the children's room.

Hm, so the technician was here now, the noise is quieter but audible. The process, which hangs about 1 cm above, also moves noticeably in the draft. From everything I've read, you shouldn't hear or feel anything? Or is that just the advertising?

We have a similar problem. In the rooms with a shaft, the ventilation system can be clearly heard. For us, however, it is definitely not coming from the outlet, but from the shaft. We experience the phenomenon that the sound breaks at the 90-degree corners of the transitions from the riser to the distributors. This causes vibrations that are clearly audible to us. Solution approach: The shaft was filled with insulation material -> seemingly slightly quieter, but it didn't really help. Solution 2: Insulation material on the shafts, and then add weight so that the shaft itself cannot vibrate -> slightly better. We are not really satisfied with the ventilation system; ours is too loud for us in the children's room with the shaft. However, we did not install your device. The airflow is noticeable - but it depends on how much room volume your rooms have. Accordingly, the ventilation system and the outlets have to be adjusted. The fact of not hearing anything is extremely individual. My parents and my neighbor do not hear anything in the children's room. We hear it extremely loud. Depending on whom you ask, it is quiet or loud.
