Good day,
my wife and I are looking for high-quality garbage bin boxes.

We want to put our colorful garbage bins in boxes so that they don’t stand out so much.

My requirements are: durability (preferably no wood) and still affordable
My wife’s requirements: nice appearance (also gladly with wood)

Has anyone had positive experience with a manufacturer or do you have to have one custom-made if you want it to last 10 years or more?

Regards and thanks in advance.

I have searched this forum and found nothing on this topic. Please only really high-quality manufacturers.

I can't recall the name right now, but at Bauhaus there are really high-quality ones. However, they cost a lot of money if you want them to look nice. They are freely configurable though. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them on the homepage.

My Google experiences in this field have shown that high quality and low cost are contradictory. We now have a box made of plastic – I really don’t like that stuff in the garden, but after three years the wood rotted away, and by the way, the thing also warped. I am not willing to spend a four-figure amount (not even 500).

Regards, Yvonne

Thank you for the tips. I definitely don't want to go into the 4-figure range per ton, but there must be something durable (at least 5, preferably 10 years) for a reasonable price somewhere. I am also willing to spend 500€. I will go check at the [Bauhof].

Bauhaus and OBI only have cheap plastic and wooden trash bin boxes. I don't find them particularly nice, and they won't last long either. For me, it makes more sense to spend a bit more once and then have peace of mind for 10 years.

A local hardware store did have high-quality boxes, but they cost around €900 per box. They were also placed in front of the entrance, and you could see that the few plastic elements had already been affected by the weather.

What do you think of these ones? They do cost their price but seem to be made entirely of stainless steel. I think I'll drive there and check them out in person. 50 minutes from my home.

Has anyone had any experience with this model or provider? I’m grateful for any tips.
Regards

I will tell you later what they are called that I mean. Someday in the afternoon I will get around to it, possibly with a photo.
