Yes, such people do exist, but certainly not all of them.

But I believe what should be passed on to the "young" aspiring homeowners is that, in my opinion, you simply need a bit of time to find your "place in life" and to gain experience, whether professionally, personally, or financially. Who really knows shortly after vocational training or studies whether the job at the company is actually what they want to do for the rest of their lives, or whether they still want or have to change (be it through further education or a company change, maybe even abroad). Who at the beginning of their twenties truly knows whether the partner is the one they want to spend the rest of their life with? Do you really want to commit that early (both to the partner, financially, and to a location) with all the advantages and disadvantages?
Certainly, there is no "perfect" age to build, and for some, building or buying is simply not the right choice at all.
"Life" takes time, so live and experience, gather experiences, and build or buy only if you are truly sure that this is exactly what you want and are aware of the responsibility that such a decision entails.
Whether you are 25, 30, or older is completely secondary. And living independently and flexibly in a rental property for a certain time is certainly not the worst (and by no means money thrown away, as some like to argue).

...or one puts in a little effort and explains in detail what thoughts one has already had and why building a house in the current situation is not a problem. So far, the OP owes this explanation; instead, it was said: "We are currently just starting to think about it..."

No, YOU have spoken!

No, but YOU?

The OP was not sent away - he has a good starting point. Unlike you - if you want to play, please go to another forum.

One could also come up with the idea that the OP was driven away by the indirect accusations here directed at him. He has also not replied since then. I found all of that very presumptuous. For me, the matter is closed here. I probably could have presented it more calmly as well. Sorry for that...
Otherwise, thank you very much for the request to leave the forum, I would still participate in topics that interest me.

In my opinion, this whole discussion should have been in another parallel thread, because unlike the parallel thread, Skyboy89 already has a steady income and equity in the form of a property.

I have already considered whether the topic should be outsourced from post 13 onwards.

maybe you can check that. (I'm too dumb for that)

Don't let yourself be intimidated.

What is so extreme about a young person buying a car if they have the money? Or what is so absurd about having Amazon Prime for 50 euros a year? For my part, I don’t have it because it’s cool, but because I have many advantages from it. And listening to music via Spotify basically costs nothing and secondly serves a specific purpose, and has nothing to do with “coolness.” Your parents paid 8% for the mortgage, fine, mine did as well. Now it looks different, so why shouldn’t someone decide to buy a house if they have thought it through well? Interest rates etc. are simply favorable now. Your “arguments,” if they are even supposed to be, in my eyes make no sense. I/we, for my part, are also only in our mid-20s and will soon build a house. I recently finished my studies, the job fits, we have kids too, the next goal is the house. We also have equity of 50k. Completely saved ourselves, not a cent from the parents.

Some really have good reasons why one should maybe wait longer to build a house at a young age, but for most, I think it’s just envy coming out that young people can/want to afford their lifelong dream of a house earlier than they did.

Best regards, Spinne
