I am not questioning your 50k. I am questioning that there is more than a small minority capable of saving such amounts alongside their studies.I just wonder why the 50k is being questioned?
With the 735-800€ per month mentioned below, one has not yet been to the disco, bar, on vacation, bought an iPhone, etc. The student would have to earn 2000€ net on the side in order to reach 50k over the course of their studies. Even if the building savings are shared between two people, net earnings must still be assumed that I have not yet encountered. I don’t know any student who earns on average over 1000€ net (except maybe during semester breaks).
However, if it is about one partner being in a job since their mid-20s and the other supporting their existence as a student, then that is a completely different starting point. Then it is the full-time employed partner who saves the money, not the student.
