Wall shelf / media board with hole for cable

Hello dear Ikea fans,

in our new kitchen, we don’t want to go without music while cooking and have a compact system that we would like to place on a wall shelf. Ideally, we are looking for:

• a wall shelf approx. 50 / 60 cm wide (can also be longer but this size would be optimal)
• at least 26 cm deep with options to leave a gap between the shelf and the wall for the cables
• alternatively 30 cm deep with the possibility to drill a groove for the cables (plug must fit through)
• the shelf should be able to hold 4 kg.

Although there are wall shelves on the IKEA homepage, they all have a minimum length of 70 cm and a depth of 28 cm.

Maybe you have some ideas, I would be happy.

Do you still have "leftovers" from your new kitchen?? They almost always happen. You could make a piece out of that, it's not a big deal and would also match in color. In an emergency, look in the bargain bin and if necessary, use a few small metal brackets from the hardware store to connect them, which are attached behind the shelf so you can't see them.
