Hello everyone,
the planning of our kitchen is slowly taking shape. We will probably implement the idea with a two-liner.
This means one row is just countertop & the other just cabinets. The side with countertops is about 3x80 1x60 1x40 = 3.40 m long. Since I have an 80 cm cooktop and would therefore tend to go for a 90 cm extractor hood, unfortunately this no longer works with the wall cabinets. (Example: to the left of the stove there is still an 80 cm cabinet, but above the stove there is only 70 cm space. So you can’t make it flush there. You always have to bridge 5 cm.) I have the same problem on the right... it’s even worse there because eventually a window will be installed.
So - for now I am planning without upper cabinets. That certainly looks quite good, but with them it wouldn’t be bad either. Especially because you can easily integrate lighting underneath.
What I would like from the countertop first is a backsplash (tiles, glass, wood, or similar), then a small shelf (about 30-35 cm above the countertop) and then again about 15 cm above that these cabinets. With any other kitchen manufacturer this probably wouldn’t be an issue:

Metod
wall cabinet horiz. with glass door, white, Jutis frosted glass
Does anyone have a good idea for this? Is it possible to build a 10 cm shelf out of something or similar? Even with a 100 cm extractor hood it doesn’t fit :(
Best regards
