We also have 140cm here as a straight glass wall and even for me as a guy, a few drops get out there. But I don’t find that problematic because even with a door, a few drops will always get out. It definitely depends on the shower behavior; my wife uses the smaller, open shower with 120cm and just as few drops get out there. But that’s certainly because she’s less clumsy than I am. More space and a glass wall of 130-150cm or a door would certainly be better. However, this is not exactly cheap and brings other circumstances with it that one might not like so much. Maybe you can try it without a door first with the option to retrofit one if needed. That’s exactly how we approached it and didn’t retrofit one in the 120cm shower either. I think it’s always a compromise one way or the other, which wouldn’t be bad. There’s probably no right or wrong. Basically, I was rather surprised that both ways work, as in my opinion you just adapt to the circumstances.

if you don't install a handheld shower or your wife has short hair, your problems are solved :p
