Walk-in shower, what width is suitable for access?

The spraying doesn't bother me during showers - but I always freeze without a door because of the draft.

Wall heating takes care of that! :)

In general, I would make sure that a standard wheelchair can pass through.

We have a 70cm passage. That’s how we planned it and we don’t need more. Much more important to us was the range of motion inside the shower itself. I think you don’t need a wheelchair-accessible opening. Either the whole house is planned to be wheelchair accessible or not at all. Such a glass wall can be quickly replaced. Many had 73cm or 61cm doors in their apartments before and nobody was bothered :)

I would also recommend 70 cm to you. That is, I think, the standard for it. If the current dimensions fit, then 70 cm is a good solution. A wheelchair-accessible opening brings little if the whole house is planned that way. The range of movement in the shower is more important there.

We have wall heating everywhere, but there is still a draft in the shower, which I find unpleasant. However, the shower is also "only" 140 cm long. :)

Movement radius 1.4x1 is given. A 70cm (glass wall) 70cm (entry) division is therefore okay .. only the issue with the steam column is a big drawback. But maybe I'll get used to it and stop showering constantly :p
