Well, but I also find it strange to build a 1.8m opaque fence at an intersection. In our development plans, only 80cm is allowed there. The fact is that the vehicle on the 'main road' can't see anything at all. It has to inch its way in at walking speed. Nobody does that though, and the right-of-way cyclist from the right gets run over. If that's enough for them, just remove the privacy screen and that's that, otherwise the angle grinder has to come out.

Do you have children? Do you believe that any driver will see your child - whether on foot or on a bike - in every conceivable situation? Are you sure that you yourself will see another car/cyclist/child in every case? Even at walking speed, something can go seriously wrong, especially when you encounter road users who are insecure, small and/or cannot yet assess dangers but can already pedal fast on the bike (I imagine that children up to about 6/7 years old only realize that something is dangerous when they are already in danger). Regardless of the question of whether one would win a removal order in court, as a local resident one should at least briefly consider the safety of everyone.

*LAUGH*
I would have fun here and write back a thank-you letter with the note that no one has ever cared so much about the proper nutrition and entertainment of my cats!

And then? That has relatively little to do with insight that an opaque 1.80 fence simply doesn't belong in a place like that. You can also look into neighborhood law to see what border distances apply for plants, hedges, and privacy screens.

I'm glad that in our 30 km/h residential area, fences up to 1.40 m are allowed anyway. I think the development plan also says something about the rules for how to lay out property corners at streets.

Privacy is all well and good. But you can also create it partially on your property, for example on the terrace. Who needs to wall themselves in in a residential area? If you're afraid of neighbors looking in, you should choose the property location very carefully, and a corner lot in a residential area is a poor choice. You would probably make some enemies here too, but that's irrelevant.

I see the solution as removing this plastic according to the demand and possibly creating a partial privacy screen a bit further away from the border. Or you pull the fence in further and plant some nice ground cover in front of it.

I would also say: get rid of the plastic crap and then you can see again.

I haven't looked at the laws, but I drive daily to the kindergarten along a 30 km/h street without visibility triangles, that's so annoying. You can't drive proactively there, you have to stop because otherwise, when rolling and looking, you're already in the junction.

But as is well known, I'm against [Einburgen] anyway.

These cheap privacy panels for double rod fences should generally be banned... I am so glad that we hardly have them in our new development area, because it just looks incredibly ugly with them.
